A delicious fusion of two comfort food classics: a cheesy grilled sandwich wrapped around all the bold, savory fillings of a burrito.

🛒 Ingredients

  • 2 large flour tortillas
  • 4 tbsp butter, softened
  • 4 slices of cheese (e.g. cheddar, mozzarella, or American)
  • ½ cup shredded cheese (cheddar, Monterey Jack, or blend)
  • ½ cup cooked protein (chicken, ground beef, beans – optional)
  • 2 tbsp sour cream (optional)
  • 2 tbsp salsa (optional)
  • Pinch of garlic powder (optional)
  • Pinch of onion powder (optional)

🍳 Instructions

1. Prep Ingredients

  • Heat up any cooked proteins you’re using.
  • Spread butter on one side of each tortilla (this will be the outer side when grilling).

2. Assemble Burritos

  • On the non-buttered side, layer:
  • 2 cheese slices
  • Sprinkle of shredded cheese
  • A spoonful of cooked protein (if using)
  • Optional: 1 tbsp each sour cream and salsa
  • Sprinkle of garlic/onion powder (optional)

3. Roll

  • Fold in the sides, then roll tightly into a burrito shape.

4. Grill

  • Heat a skillet over medium heat.
  • Place burrito buttered side down and grill 3–4 minutes per side, pressing lightly with a spatula, until golden brown and crispy.

5. Serve

  • Slice in half and enjoy hot.
  • Serve with extra salsa, sour cream, or guacamole on the side.

  • Spicy: Add jalapeños, hot sauce, or Pepper Jack cheese.
