- 1/2 tsp Garlic Powder
- 1/2 tsp Sweet Paprika
- 1 cup (240 ml) Chicken Stock
- 1 1/2 cups (360 ml) Beef Stock
- 1 Beef Bouillon Cube (for color and flavor)
- 3 tbsp Butter
- 1/2 cup (180 ml) Warm Milk
For Frying:
2 cups (500 ml) Avocado Oil (or Vegetable Oil, Canola, or Peanut Oil)

Instructions:
- Prepare the Buttermilk Marinade:
- In a bowl, whisk together 1 egg, 1 1/2 cups buttermilk, and 1 tsp salt.
- Place 10 chicken legs (or wings, breasts, thighs – whatever you prefer) into the marinade.
- Cover and let it marinate for 30 minutes or refrigerate it overnight for up to 12 hours.
- Make the Chicken Breading:
- In a separate bowl, mix together 2 cups of all-purpose flour and all the KFC 11 Secret Herbs & Spices.
- Stir the mixture thoroughly to combine all the spices evenly.
- Cook the Potatoes:
- Peel and cut 1 kg (2 lb) of russet potatoes into chunks.
- Boil the potatoes with a pinch of salt until they’re tender, about 15–20 minutes.
- Prepare the Gravy:
- In a saucepan, melt 3 tbsp butter over medium heat.
- Add 3 tbsp flour and stir constantly for about 2 minutes to cook the flour and spices.
- Add 1 cup chicken stock and 1 1/2 cups beef stock, mixing well.
- Add the beef bouillon cube for extra flavor and color.
- Stir in 3 tbsp butter and 1/2 cup warm milk to make a rich, smooth gravy.
- Let it simmer until the gravy thickens, then set aside.
- Fry the Chicken:
- Take a piece of chicken from the buttermilk marinade and dredge it in the flour mixture, pressing firmly to ensure the coating sticks well.
- Repeat this for 2 or 3 more pieces to cook in one batch.
- Heat 2 cups of avocado oil (or any vegetable oil you prefer) in a large frying pan.
- Once the oil is hot, gently place the chicken in the oil. It will sizzle intensely but shouldn’t splatter.
- Fry for 7-8 minutes or until the chicken turns deep golden brown.
- Flip the chicken and fry for another 4-5 minutes until fully cooked.
- Once done, let the chicken rest on a rack in a preheated oven at 180°F/80°C to keep warm.
- Assemble and Serve:
- Take your tender boiled potatoes and pour the rich gravy over them.
- Serve the crispy fried chicken on the side.
- Enjoy this delicious, crispy, and comforting meal 😋!
