🔪 Instructions

1. Prep the Bagel

  • Slice the bagel in half horizontally.
  • If the center hole is too small, tear or cut a bit more bread out so it can hold the egg.

2. Heat the Pan

  • Warm a nonstick skillet over medium heat.
  • Add butter or oil and let it melt.

3. Toast the Bagel

  • Place both halves cut side down in the skillet for about 1 minute, just until lightly crisped.
  • Flip so the cut side is up.

4. Add the Egg

  • Crack an egg into a small bowl.
  • Gently pour the egg into the center of one bagel half.
  • Use a spatula to hold the bagel steady if needed.

5. Cook

  • Cover the skillet with a lid.
