Balsamic Chicken Recipe

🛒 Ingredients:
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- ¼ cup balsamic vinegar
- 1 tablespoon honey (optional, for sweetness)
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon dried basil
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper
- ¼ teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved (optional)
- Fresh basil or parsley for garnish (optional)
1. Prep the Chicken
- Pat the chicken dry and season both sides with salt and pepper.
2. Sear the Chicken
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Sear chicken for 5–6 minutes per side, until golden brown but not fully cooked. Remove from pan and set aside.
3. Make the Balsamic Sauce
- Lower heat to medium. Add garlic and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Add balsamic vinegar, honey, oregano, basil, and red pepper flakes. Simmer for 1–2 minutes.
4. Finish Cooking
- Return chicken to skillet and spoon sauce over it.
- Add cherry tomatoes if using.
- Cover and cook for 8–10 minutes, until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
5. Serve
- Let chicken rest briefly. Garnish with fresh basil or parsley.
- Serve with rice, pasta, roasted vegetables, or a fresh salad.

- Marinate chicken in the balsamic mixture for 1–2 hours before cooking for more flavor.
- Caprese twist: Top with fresh mozzarella slices during the last few minutes of cooking.
- Use thighs if you prefer juicier cuts—just adjust the cooking time slightly.
