Air fryer thin pork chops
How to Cook Perfect Pork Chops in an Air Fryer
Hey everyone! Today, we’re cooking pork chops, and I’m going to show you how to make both thin and thick ones in an air fryer. The secret to juicy pork chops is getting the temperature just right, and I’ll walk you through everything step-by-step. Let’s get started!

Ingredients:
- Thin and thick pork chops
- Garlic-infused olive oil (or any infused oil you like)
- Your favorite dry rub or seasoning (check my website for my recipe)
- Brown sugar (if needed)
- Smoked bacon sea salt (optional for a smoky flavor)
- A meat thermometer (very important!)
Preparation:
- Preparing the Pork Chops:
I’ve already cleaned and patted dry the pork chops. Whether you bought the thin or thick ones, the key here is using a meat thermometer to get the right temperature for juicy pork.
- For thin pork chops, cook until they reach 145°F.
- For thick pork chops, cook until they reach around 140°F, then take them out. They will rise about 5°F after you remove them, making them perfect!
- Brining the Pork Chops:
You can brine the pork chops if you want. I’m using a smoked bacon sea salt (a vegan product) for that smoky bacon flavor. It’s a great substitute for regular kosher salt. Mix it with your seasoning of choice and brown sugar, then whisk everything together. - Drizzling with Garlic Olive Oil:
I love cooking with garlic-infused olive oil. It adds an amazing aroma and flavor. Drizzle a little over your pork chops to get them ready for seasoning. - Seasoning the Pork Chops:
Sprinkle the seasoning generously over both sides of each chop. Make sure every part is covered, especially if you’re using something flavorful like a garlic-infused oil. This is what’s going to give your pork chops that great flavor!
Cooking in the Air Fryer:
- Preheat the Air Fryer:
I’m using a Breville oven with an air fryer feature, but you can use any air fryer. Set your oven or air fryer to 400°F. Preheat for a few minutes until it’s ready. - Cooking the Thin Pork Chops:
- Start by placing the thin pork chops in the air fryer. For thin cuts, they will cook in about 12-13 minutes.
- After about 6 minutes, flip the pork chops over to make sure they cook evenly.
- Use your meat thermometer to check the temperature and ensure they reach 145°F. Once they’re done, remove them and let them rest.
- Cooking the Thick Pork Chops:
The thick pork chops will take a little longer to cook. Set the time to 13 minutes and flip them halfway through, just like with the thin ones. You want them to reach the same 145°F in the thickest part.
Final Steps:
- Checking the Temperature:
After the pork chops are done cooking, check the temperature again to make sure they’ve reached the right level for juiciness. Don’t forget, pork continues to cook a little bit after it’s taken out of the air fryer. - Tasting Time:
The pork should be juicy and tender. When you cut into it, you’ll see it’s cooked perfectly. You can also see how the pork chops have a nice brown, crispy exterior thanks to the air fryer. - Enjoy:
Now, it’s time to dig in! These pork chops are flavorful, tender, and juicy. The seasoning mix really adds something special, and the air fryer gives them that perfect crispiness without needing much oil.

Final Thoughts:
Cooking pork chops in an air fryer is easy and produces great results every time. Whether you’re using thin or thick chops, the key is checking the internal temperature to make sure they’re perfectly cooked. If you don’t have an air fryer, you can use any oven with an air fryer feature, and the results will still be fantastic.
